Dripback are one of the UK’s best Hardcore/Death metal bands. Based in London, Dripback began in 2010, a new raw, brittle but also post-apocalyptic angry, but angry intelligent, band. The band was made up of former members of Ted Maul and Labrat, and current members of River Freshney. A group of mates who had been in different bands for years, they decided one day to all meet up, have a jam, have a laugh, have a beer. They ended up writing a couple of tunes and it all just snowballed from there.

The band went on a full UK tour in May 2011 as main support to Soilent Green and became a fully-fledged live band. The word spread and before long, high profile shows at Download and Bloodstock festivals were played.

Legendary producer Russ Russell recorded Dripbacks debut release, the 6 track EP “Inhaling The Ashes”, released in June 2011 on the Seige of Amida record label. Shortly after, the band filmed a video at an anarchist squat in South London for the track “Kick Out Time”.

Dripback ended 2011 with a short UK tour with grindcore superstars, Lock Up and The Rotted. The following year they had a support slot on the Biohazard tour.
2012 saw the playing festivals including Hammerfest and Bloodstock (their second visit), playing with Crowbar, Hatebreed, Testament and others.

Their debut album “Failed Futures” was released in 2014, though technically, it’s older than that, as the band were between labels when it was recorded.

The band toured with Crowbar in 2014 and also played Sonisphere the same year. The band have toured or shared a stage with Soilent Green, Biohazard, Nasum, Lock Up, Pig Destroyer, Black Breath, The Rotted, Bloodstock Festival, Download Festival and Hammerfest. Dripback took a year off in 2015 due to three band members each having a child in 2013.

Whilst the other band members spent time with their families, Luca got stuck in his digital studio writing more Dripback tunes. In January 2016 they played their comeback show supporting Venomous Concept at the Camden Underworld and had been booked for two dates with Repulsion in April before the dates were cancelled at the last moment. The band are now preparing to record new tracks for release in 2016.
